DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 Ironing System with Pressurized Boiler Review

I like to keep my family looking good. To me, that means freshly ironed clothes. Whether it’s my kids’ school clothes, or my husbands work shirts, I like clothes to be wrinkle free and attractive. I’ve gone through a lot of irons over the years, but they all seemed kind of shoddy and one-dimensional.

I started doing some serious online research and reading the steam iron reviews to find a better iron. I came to the conclusion that the DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 Ironing System was the way to go, and I haven’t looked back ever since.

A Professional Ironing System that Works

To be honest, the name of this product – the DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 Ironing System really caught my attention. I like the sound of a system, so my curiosity was piqued. What exactly makes this an ironing system, and not a simple steam iron? Well, for starters, this is a professional quality iron that is really made to handle a wide variety of fabrics.

I know all the popular irons lay claim to being able to handle many different fabrics, but they usually fall short. I can press virtually any kind of clothing, from the most delicate to the sturdiest, with this inclusive ironing system. There are many other features that separate this iron from the pack, but being able to handle ALL of my clothes is the best example that I can think of.

Technical Specifications and Features

  • Steam iron with pressurized boiler for quick ironing and professional treatment from DeLonghi
  • Heavy-duty aluminum soleplate with satin finish for effortless ironing motion
  • Adjustable thermostat and steam emission
  • Boiler crafted with stainless-steel top and super-alloy bottom for enhanced heat production
  • Works well for vertical steaming with drapes or fabric wallpaper
  • 3 year limited warranty

  • Adjustable for right or left-handers. I’ left handed, and didn’t even know that this feature existed until I started using the DeLonghi iron. I can adjust the steam valve for easy left-handed ironing.
  • Uses tap water. Most irons will suffer damage from tap water usage. The specialized boiler on this iron allows me to use regular tap water.
  • Heavy Duty Construction. This is not a lightweight, hastily crafted iron. I could tell the first minute that I picked this iron up that it is built to last, and it is sturdier than I ever thought an iron could be.

  • Too many options. This isn’t really a complaint, but it did take me a while to get used to all of the various settings on this iron and to learn how to use them on the appropriate clothes.
  • Tricky tank attachment. I have to take extra time to make sure the tank is attached correctly. This really only boils down to just a few seconds, but it is worth mentioning in this iron review.

I’ll always be one of those people who doesn’t feel the laundry is complete until it’s ironed. This is an ironing system that has a lot of options (seemingly too many sometimes), for handling a wide variety of ironing tasks. Since it is adjustable for left-handers and does a great job ironing, it is a real lifesaver for me. I got used to using right handed models for years, so this feature alone is enough for me to call the DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 my favorite iron.
